PURE London New Footwear

PURE LONDON WELCOMES A TRIO OF HOT NEW FOOTWEAR DESIGNERS

A focus on new talent with the BFA Designer Collective

12-14 February 2012 | London Olympia

At the leading edge of footwear fashion, the UK is famous for nurturing innovative and creative design talent.  To celebrate this, the British Footwear Association (BFA) has teamed up with Pure London to provide a unique opportunity for brand new UK footwear labels to launch their collections at the show.

The BFA is the trade association representing over 100 companies from the supply side of the footwear industry including manufacturers, importers and designer brands. Several of the BFA’s member companies have been exhibiting at Pure London for many seasons.

Richard Kottler, Chief Executive of the British Footwear Association commented, ‘We are very proud to be working with Pure London and to be able to offer these up and coming labels a real platform to show their exciting product to the most relevant retailers and press in the UK’.

For February 2012, a trio of footwear designers will be showcasing their collections on the BFA Designer Collective stand, these designers are:

Love Art Wear Art

The Autumn Winter 2012 range by footwear designer Nicole le Grange for Love Art Wear Art is playful, feminine and elegant.  Her indisputable talent for design, eye for detail and quest to make beautiful, high quality shoes is clearly visible in this vintage inspired collection.  With wearable styles and meticulously crafted shapes this range can take you from weekend to boardroom to burlesque this winter.

“In love” and inspired by vintage shapes and curves – Love Art Wear Art brings the feminine trend seen on the catwalks bang up to date with classic pointed courts, tassel tie front peeps, oversized colour mix bows and detail scalloped edges.  Delicate brogue detail and punched heart patterns as well as heart shaped toe caps tie this range neatly together keeping quality and comfort in mind, from the buttery soft luxury suede, using all leather lining, to the varying heel height and tassel and scallop detailing.  The attention to detail is exquisite, with each pair individually numbered with a tiny metal banner on the breast of each shoe ensuring shoes are exclusive to the owner.

Ruby Rocks footwear

Quirky and eclectic defines the Ruby Rocks collection - taking a trip far and away to a place where 1940's flared heels meet to die for shades of patent and where sky high heels and wedges with high shine metallic bronze soles become must-have pieces.  The mix of cross cultural references produces an exciting mix of material and colour combinations - saturated brights, newly worked animal skins and colour blocking are worked into an inspiring collection, including sexy shoe boots and divine wedges.  The ‘Dark and Stormy’ theme for the season inspired us into using reworked materials such as velvet, brushed metallic and flocked effect animal prints which cast an exciting spell for A/W12.

Just Anna shoes

Bringing a touch of affordable luxury – Just Anna shoes make their own individual style statement, defining the way you dress.  Inspired by the career woman who also wants to follow fashion, the collection is contemporary and gently pushes the boundaries.  The 2012 collection features autumnal tones with a focus on metal elements for embellishment.

The Designer Collective can be found on stand Fo430 in Design-Led Footwear and is an essential point of call for buyers looking to snap up the next wave of talent and discover the latest designs from a host of leading footwear labels.
