Ford Supermodel Winner

Sadie Phelps wins the Ford Models Supermodel
of the World UK Search

 

 

On the 3rd of November, a packed audience of the industry’s finest filled London’s Il Bottaccio,
9 Grosvenor Place to find out who would win the Ford Models Supermodel of the
World UK Search and go on to represent Britain in the UK final in
São Paulo in January of 2010.

Hosted by fashion expert, Frances Card, the judging panel, comprised of Ford
Models Europe director, Iris Minier; Ford Models representative, Wulfran
Quariel; producer and scout, Reaya Goldman; Vogue.com editor, Dolly Jones;
Fashion Business Club co-founder, Courtney Blackman; and fashion designer,
William Tempest, narrowed down the 12 finalists to choose Sadie Phelps as
the winner of the competition. The 19-year-old attends UCL and will be
flying to Brazil in the new year to compete on a global level for a chance
to win a contract with Ford worth $250,000.00.

The show was produced by Ultra Violet, styled by renowned catwalk stylist,
Rebekah Roy and had an all-star team of hair and make-up artists including
Tim Furssedunn from Toni & Guy using label.m and Lan Nguyen of AOFM using MAC.

This is the first time the competition has been held in the UK for several
years and it was a great honour to have iconic British brand Jaeger on board
as the official clothing sponsor with shoes provided by British designer
Georgina Goodman.

The Ford Models Supermodel of the World UK Search is the largest of its kind
in the world and has produced some of the most iconic models of our time
including Chanel Iman and Adriana Lima.

 

The event was sponsored and hosted by the European School of Economics and
its exclusive Institute of Fashion and their elite London venue, Il Bottaccio.
